Destination 5; Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada

January 9, 2011

I'm here in Nanaimo, British Columbia. With a 78,692 population, this is city is well known on Vancouver Island as the Bathtub Racing Capital in the World! The closest park is Cowichan River Provincial Park. This place is so much fun! By far, the best out of every place I went to on my trip.
My family and I went on a long boat ride, a cruise I suppose. It was cold, but nice. Later on we went for a car ride around the mountains, and took lots of pictures of them. The city is filled with fun stuff to do. In our hotel there was a pool, so I went swimming. Down the street was an arcade, which we also went to! This place is great, enough industry to make me happy and lots of pretty sites to admire or paint.
I would most deffinatly come back, maybe even live here. The weather isn't too bad, it's actually warmer here then anywhere else I've been. Normally it's around 3 C. I like it!
I don't want to write much, seeing as I'm leaving to St Catharines in a half hour. The one thing I liked the best about Nanaimo was the bakeries! The nanaimo bars here are DELICIOUS! Well, I should head off. Here's some information and pictures!

-Victoria GodfreyP.S, I just had the best christmas break of my life. Thanks to my family for taking me! ♥
