Destination 2; Huntsville, Ontario, Canada

December 31st, 2010

An hour until midnight! I decided to write on my blog now, because I'm going to be too tired to write tomorrow morning when we leave. It's 11:00pm, I'm in Huntsville, Ontario staying at my Grandma Verna's. My family is outside, having a fire near the cannel thats in the backyard! It's pretty neat, there's a deck that you can go fishing off, right in her own back yard. Down the street there's the locks, and a big green bridge.
Downtown Huntsville is really neat, there are shops that are beside the water and you can walk on a deck down them. Most of the tourist stores are full of nature stuff. Like sweaters with animals on it, or home made crafts. It's not all unique like that though, because they do indeed have Mc Donalds here!
Huntsville has a population of 18, 280. It seems like alot, but when you're there it doesn't seem like anyone even lives there. There are alot of farms, and forests, and swamps! Huntsville is in the Mix Wood Plain's ecozone, so it's like St Catharines temperature wise too! Except there's alot more snow, better for playing in.
There are two parks close by, The Algonquin Park, and The Massasauga Provincial Park! There are some mountains here, it's rather nice. Infact, there's this huge tower on top of a mountain that you can go up. It was used to spot out fires, it's really all, I'd know, I climbed it! Unfortunatly, I can't write much more, it's almost 2011, I'm going to go join my family! Happy new years, I hope you make a good New Years Resolution, if any at all.
Here is some more fun information, and a few pictures! Next stop, Nobleville, Saskatchewan!
