Destination 1; Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada

December 29th, 2010,

  It was a long day and a half drive, but it was deffinatly worth it. I'm staying at a motel in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. Unfortunatly I'm leaving tomorrow morning. I'll miss this place, I had a great time! I thought it would be really cold here, but it wasn't much different then it is at home in St Catharines, Ontario. There's snow on the ground, not too much, not too little. The temperatures stayed at an average -7 C, so it wasn't too bad.
  My family and I went for a drive, down a really long road. Down the road we saw alot of pretty sites. There was lots of fields and mountains, and behind those fields and mountains you could see water, lots of it! It was gorgeous. The snow glistened, and on the other side of the road, you could look far out and see lots of trees. If you were lucky, you could see deer and such.
 Further down the road, we went over a neat historic bridge. I have never seen one like it. There isn't alot of people here, only about 3000, but it's nice. It's very peaceful, there's not alot of industry so it makes this place feel welcoming. Not all scary and packed like Toronto, Ontario makes you feel! You know what else I like? The fact there's alot of historic monuments. Statues of soldiers, people, etc. All with plaques describing their purpose.
  About an hour away is a place called "Butter Pot Provincial Park". It looks like everywhere else, full of trees and fields, instead there aren't any people living there! It's really nice. A few roads down from our motel, is this cute restaurant full of home made goodies! There aren't alot of stores, like I said, it's a small city. There's good fishing though! We fished alot, it was fun. We also whale watched, that's something I've never done before! It was cool, whale's are bigger then I thought. Bigger then the one's at Marine Land!
  Deffinatly suggest you to visit here, it was great! Also, just for fun, I researched some stuff about this place!

Latitude = 47.6855, Longitude = -53.2414

Here are some photos of it here! By the way, I'm heading to Hunstville, Ontario next, talk to you then!
